FIRST CERTIFICATE FOR TEACHERS OF BUSINESS ENGLISH

An ideal course for teachers, translators or English speakers who wish to teach at language schools or in corporate environments.

The course leads up to the First Certificate for Teachers of Business English, by the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations Board, International Qualifications.

This is an internationally valid qualification granted by the LCCI through Universidad CAECE, an authorised teaching and testing centre, which successfully prepares language professionals for teaching ESP to adults and managing corporate courses.

e- learning: Upon enrolment, students will receive a Key to access the study materials, the 10 units lodged in our e-learning platform. A tutor will guide them throughout the course and communications will be via e-mail or in the Forum.

Virtual lessons: Besides working on the units, participants will meet for virtual lessons with their tutor at the Aldea Global centre closest to their places of residence, by video-streaming, to exchange ideas in real time.

Entry requirements: Participants may be teachers of English, translators or fully proficient English users, writing, reading and talking at near-educated native-speaker level.

Duration: 3 months.

Number of hours: 50 hours.

Examination: Candidates may take the final examination at the Aldea Global centre closest to their places of residence or in Buenos Aires , at Universidad CAECE. The examination is then sent to the United Kingdom for correction and scoring.

Examination date: November 20, 2009

Examination payment: Through Western Union, according to instructions issued by Universidad CAECE to the course participants in due time.

Certificate: On passing the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry's examination, participants will receive the First Certificate for Teachers of Business English, of international validity.

Participants not taking the LCCI examination will receive a Certificate of Particiapation in the course, granted by Universidad CAECE.

Starting date: August 13, 2010.

Enrolment: from June 1 to August 20, 2010.  


Enrolment fee: none

Monthly payments: Three monthly payments of $200.- each.
Examination fee: US$ 95, in Argentina, in 2009. New fees may be announced for 2010.

Cancellation policy:
Should you be unable to take the course, you may transfer your enrolment to another student or you may keep your credit and use it at a later date. Transfers of credits should be notified 24 hours before the starting date of the course.
